How to use meditation for heartbreak in long-distance

Heartbreak what is it how does it affect us

Heartbreak can come in many forms. It doesn’t only come from lovers but also from family, from friends or from yourself. When you get heartbroken you feel like your world is falling apart. You may also feel like you have a void in your heart or near your stomach. It can affect your sleeping cycles and even the amount of food you eat. It can lead to overthinking about the other person which hurts you even more than you think.

What is meditation?

Meditation is a form of relaxation that helps you calm your brain down and adjust your rhythms. It can be done in several positions and with different methods. Meditation helps regulate yourself by either taking in all of your thoughts or by letting them go. This can help with heartbreak because you allow yourself a little pocket of peace and silence in which you relax and take care of yourself only. It’s a space that you can allow yourself to have for reflection and introspection in which you search for what you need for yourself and let go of what doesn’t serve you.

How has it helped people along?

Meditation for heartbreak has helped people heal and get over things that happen in life. Especially when heartbreak is from a long distance. It is harder to have the closure you need and it is harder to get the explanations that you deserve. That is why meditation can help you connect to yourself and ground you to earth to focus on what is in front of you.

Situations in which you can use meditation

When you see an anxiety attack coming-

When you feel the void inside you build up, what I like to do is go lay down or sit on my bed and put on some happiness meditation music. Then think about everything that I do for myself and not for others.

When you feel like texting the person you know you shouldn’t be texting-

This person for obvious or not reasons wouldn’t be on your mind. Especially if they broke your heart. I know it hurts and it is hard to stop thinking about them but to get over it you have to stop yourself from doing certain things like that.

When you feel an emotional void and you feel lonely-

Feeling lonely and alone is pretty normal when you have gone through a heartbreak. It can feel like there is no one there that understands what you are going through but meditation can help you connect to everything in this world. It will make you feel supported snd understood

When you miss them-

This one has to be the hardest one. Missing the relationship you had with someone can be hurtful and can be draining to be in your mind all the time. When this is the case meditate and let all those thoughts float in. Every time one comes up acknowledge it, thank it and watch it float away.

Paired up with other methods of healing, mediation can be the right path to getting over a heartbreak. Especially one that is from a long distance. Heartbreak can be hard but remember that you are stronger and that and that you can get over every obstacle that life puts in front of you.
